Taking to Instagram after the event, Tiwa addressed the current state of African music, countering talk that the industry is in decline.
“While some may think African music is in decline, we are actually in a healthy cycle,” she wrote, explaining that this moment is more about building a sustainable infrastructure than chasing rapid growth.
“We have a lot to correct, but let’s not confuse correction with collapse.”
