Sai Kaew Beach Resort, the premium area next to the beach
Sai Kaew Beach Resort is in style! I arrived at the wharf after a 5 hour mini trip from Koh Chang. The resort (Samed Group) has its very own wharf, Ao Prao Pier, where, if you have booked the resort in advance, you can sail by shuttle wooden boat to the island for free. If you have not booked in advance, the boat trip costs 320 baht for adults, 160 baht for children.
The boat departs 3 times a day at 11, at 1:30 p.m. and 16.
When you check-in at Ao Prao Pier, you will be directed to where you leave your luggage – from here it will be taken directly to your hotel.
Furthermore, from the “club house” on the quay, you will be driven in small, golf-like carts to the boat – fantastic for once not having to drag your luggage yourself several 100 meters in the heath behind, out to a boat.
Even before I landed on Koh Samet, I was a fan!
